Colorobbia: new finishes at Cersaie 2025
The Italian glaze manufacturer’s latest innovations focus on four key areas: sustainability, reliefs and textures, technical surfaces and large formats.
At Cersaie 2025, Colorobbia will unveil a range of new products and solutions centred on four key areas: more sustainable processes; digital technologies for creating reliefs and textures; functional finishes; and solutions for large formats and countertops.
In the area of sustainability, Colorobbia is presenting its Extra-Glazes series of high-discharge water-based digital glazes, already used industrially by several Italian tile manufacturers, along with the Air Evolution and Air Evolution Aqua series of solvent-based and water-based digital inks. These series minimise environmental impact by reducing harmful emissions and odours and also include high-performance digital effects and glues. The Air Evolution series is certified by leading manufacturers of digital printers and printheads.
For the creation of multi-relief effects, Colorobbia is showcasing its Forma Plus range, which includes the Extra-Glazes water-based digital glazes, the Graffiti series of water-repellent inks and the Neogrits collection of grits and special grits. These families feature several new products such as the Graffiti White ink and a collection of matt grits specially developed to create reliefs directly on the substrate before decoration. These solutions can be used to achieve all types of reliefs and textures, regardless of the required format.
As for technical surfaces, Colorobbia is presenting its Microtech C-Ready formulations capable of customising finishes and achieving desired levels of performance. Suitable for a wide range of firing temperatures and compatible with all wet application technologies (airless/curtain application), this ready-to-use series can be applied on its own or in combination with specially formulated glazes and additives. It allows for the creation of finishes with different slip and wear resistance values, various gloss levels and enhanced durability, cleanliness and comfort. Its ease of dispersion also facilitates preparation and in-line application.
Finally, Colorobbia is introducing a range of new digital top coats, available in both solvent-based and water-based versions and in a variety of finishes (transparent matt, semi-matt and glossy). This new series of digital inks allows matt levels to be fine-tuned while maintaining the properties of the surfaces.
