Colorobbia presents its new AIR Evolution digital inks

Now successfully launched onto the Italian market, the new low-emission inks were used in many of the projects presented at the Colorobbia Open House held in Fiorano Modenese in May.

Following a year packed with events celebrating the company’s centenary (1921-2021), Colorobbia Group continues to focus on technological innovation with the presentation of a new series of AIR Evolution digital inks alongside the FORMA Plus range originally launched at Cersaie 2021.

These Premium product ranges are designed to meet increasingly strict environmental and technical standards.  The concept of sustainability took centre stage at the Open House organised by Colorobbia at its headquarters in Fiorano Modenese in May.

At the event, the company showcased its latest innovations focusing on nature and the environment. The interiors of the company premises were transformed into abstract, permeable architectures where ceramic tiles served as furnishing elements and became an integral part of the spaces. The outdoor areas were converted into gardens where aesthetics and functionality came together in a melding of shapes, colours, materials and surfaces, and there was also an area devoted specially to large size products and polished surfaces.

During the event, Colorobbia presented numerous projects illustrating its FORMA Plus concept, a range of solutions for creating reliefs and volumes on any type of substrate and size, with or without the aid of relief printing.

FORMA Plus consists of three families of products:

• Extra-Glazes 3D (high-discharge water-based digital glazes),
• Graffiti Inks Series (a set of inks with water-repellent properties)
• Neogrits Collection (grains and micro-grits)

all designed to fully exploit the potential of the wet and dry application technologies now available on the market. Products with new particle sizes were recently introduced with the aim of optimising these applications.

The new AIR Evolution ink series has already been successfully launched onto the Italian market and has demonstrated excellent production and colour performance. From an environmental perspective, they have shown a significant reduction in emission values compared to other solvent-based inks currently on the market in terms of odours and the release of toxic components at the kiln stack. In addition, this series of low-emission inks is fully compatible with the various FORMA Plus families.
