Diamorph Hob Certec exceeds expectations
The well-known Czech ceramic roller manufacturer is aiming to further increase turnover in 2021 through continuous investments and the development of new hyper-technical products.
The renowned Czech ceramic roller producer diamorph Hob Certec is continuing its strong performance. After reporting revenue growth in 2020 through the acquisition of new customers and market shares, the company posted a further increase in orders in the first half of 2021.
These results are largely due to the continuous investments in new machinery aimed at increasing production capacity and producing rollers with higher levels of performance capable of meeting the latest market needs.
Today diamorph Hob Certec is able to produce around 500,000 large diameter rollers annually.
The Hyperroll range continues to be the company’s biggest seller, in particular the Hyperroll NG, a universal roller that is particularly resistant to temperature changes and suitable for firing products of all sizes and thicknesses (from 3 to 20 mm). The biggest increase in production has been achieved with high-quality, hyper-technical rollers with high flexural strength such as Hyperroll X, which is ideal for products with a thickness of 20 mm or more. For firing tiles of thicknesses up to 3 cm and for use in high productivity kilns with 100% occupancy rates, diamorph Hob Certec has launched the new ultra-high strength Hyperroll XT (eXTreme) roller, which now represents the top of the company’s range.
Research continues with an increasing focus on the development of hyper-technical rollers to expand the company’s range of superior quality products to meet all applications and specific customer needs, with the next launch planned for early 2022.
Over the coming months, the company will also focus on developing applications outside the ceramic industry with versions developed specifically from standard products.
As for its international market presence, diamorph Hob Certec maintains the steady growth in Italy that has continued uninterruptedly since 2013. In what is probably the most demanding market in terms of product quality and service, Hyperroll rollers are now used by 80% of all tile manufacturers. The Czech brand also enjoys an excellent reputation throughout the rest of Europe, especially in today’s most dynamic and quality-conscious markets. It is also seeing good results in the Middle and Far East and on the American continent.
Finally, to emphasise its roots coupled with a constant focus on the future, diamorph Hob Certec has undertaken a major renewal of its corporate image, starting out from the restyling of its historic Hob Certec trademark, a reference on the one hand to the company’s place of origin (Horni Briza, hence HOB) and on the other to its activities in the field of technical ceramics (CERTEC).
