Imerys Ceramics acquires Thai company Ceraminas
Imerys Ceramics (Thailand) Ltd. recently acquired Ceraminas, a Thai producer of potash and soda feldspar, quartz powder and silica flour for the local ceramic, glass and coating industries.
Established in 2001 in the Ayutthaya Province, approximately 100 km North of Bangkok and close to the main ceramic producing area of Thailand, Ceraminas will help strengthen Imerys's presence in the region and expand its product range. Imerys already has a head office in Bangkok which houses the sales force and a modern research centre, as well as two facilities in Lampang and Ranong.
