Lamgea wins Science and Technology Innovation award
System China has won the Science and Technology Innovation award, one of the honours presented as part of the 14th China Ceramics Industry Awards promoted by Ceramic Town Weekly, for the innovative Lamgea mouldless press for large ceramic surfaces.
Orfeo Finocchi, general manager of System China, was present to pick up the award at the presentation ceremony held on 28 March in Foshan. The award recognises System’s outstanding capacity for innovation and its ability to produce cutting-edge automated industrial technology for the ceramic sector.
Lamgea, the most powerful mouldless press on the market, is equipped with a specially designed hydraulic circuit capable of generating a pressing force of 44,000 tonnes, ideal for the production of stress-free large size panels and slabs (up to 1600x4800 mm) in thicknesses from 3 to 30 mm. The raw materials are processed using an innovative system of customised belts to create either smooth surfaces or – using a laser engraving system applied to the belts – textured finishes with relief depths of up to 2 mm.
