Premier presents Orbiter and Spider Dry at Tecna 2022
GPremier’s two latest technical innovations in the field of diamond tools were well received by visitors to Tecna in Rimini.
The two new products launched by Premier at the recent exhibition Tecna in Rimini, the Orbiter tool and the Spider Dry grinding wheel, attracted a great deal of interest among visitors.
Orbiter is capable of transforming a cylindrical head into the most powerful and precise lapping system ever built thanks to its 2.5 times greater cutting power than a Fickert head and its tangential speed of approximately 27 m/s compared to the less than 11 m/s of a standard Fickert head.
Consisting of 5 cylindrical tool holders, each equipped with 7 tools and mounted on the shafts of a standard cylindrical head, Orbiter offers a range of advantages including ease of use, rapid assembly, versatility, finished product quality, productivity and guaranteed durability. The presence of 35 tools on each head allows for a higher line speed and much less frequent tool changes.
The Spider Dry grinding wheel is likewise extremely versatile and can be used in all roughing and semi-finishing positions on the squaring line. It combines the high productivity and abrasion typical of metal wheels with the precision finishing characteristics of resin solutions. Spider Dry consists of a diamond resin base combined with sintered metal inserts that greatly increase durability and productivity.
