Russia Building Week begins today
Organised by ITE of London, this year the show is again divided up into various exhibiting sections, including Ceramic & Stone Moscow and Santechnika Moscow for ceramic tile and sanitaryware manufacturers respectively.
Halls 1 and 5 reserved for these two segments are hosting some 30 Italian exhibitors, about 40 Spanish manufacturers (partly assembled in a joint pavilion organised by Icex), and of course the Russian ceramic companies.
There are also exhibitors from Turkey, Poland, Finland, Portugal, Czech Republic, France, Germany, China, Lithuania, Hungary and Slovakia.
The novelty this year is a new section devoted to ceramic machinery. The initiative, called Techno Ceramica and organised with the support of Acimac (Italian Ceramic Plant and Machinery Manufacturers’ Association), is being held in hall 4 in the Moscow Expocentre.
As Acimac Director Paolo Gambuli explained, Russia is becoming an increasingly interesting market for Italian ceramic tile machinery suppliers. The rapid growth of the local ceramic industry over the last few years has led to an increase in imports of technology from Italy.
Having an exhibit space as part of a larger exhibition hosting all the most important Russian ceramic manufacturing companies is an excellent opportunity for all the Italian suppliers as it allows them to meet both consolidated and potential clients.
More than 20 of the most important sector companies are taking part in Techno Ceramica, including Sacmi, Barbieri & Tarozzi and System, alongside colour manufacturers such as Esmalglass and Torrecid. A further twelve companies have chosen to take part within the Punto Italia exhibit organised by Acimac and the Italian Trade Commission ICE.
The in-focus section contains the floor plans for hall 4 where Techno Ceramica will be hosted and halls 1 and 5 reserved for Ceramic & Stone Moscow and Santechnika Moscow
