The Swiss group’s sales from January to March grew by 7.8% compared to the first quarter of 2021 to reach CHF 980 million. The Bathroom Systems division was up 5.5%.
The Swiss sanitaryware giant’s revenue rose to CHF 2.69 billion in the first nine months of 2021, up 18.8% on the same period last year and 16.8% on 2019.
The fresh growth in the fourth quarter of 2020 has enabled Geberit to post a year-end increase in sales after currency adjustments. EBITDA is expected to stand at around 31%.
The 5% growth in the third quarter reduces the fall in revenues in the first 9 months of 2020 to 5% (or -0.4% on a constant currency basis). Geberit expects a weaker fourth quarter, but with improved margins.
In 2018 Geberit posted consolidated sales of CHF 3,081 million (+5.9%), 5.7% growth in EBITDA and net income of CHF 626 million (+3.7%). It has also performed strongly in the first quarter of 2019.
